- Business Enterprise Architect
- Enterprise Architect – Applications
- Enterprise Architect – Data, Integration & AI

As an Enterprise Architect at Rolls-Royce SMR, you’ll play a strategic leadership role in shaping the future of our digital and technology landscape. You’ll define and evolve enterprise architecture frameworks, align technology initiatives with business objectives, and guide major transformation programmes. You’ll act as a Design Authority, ensuring consistency, scalability, and compliance across systems, platforms, and data flows.

- Establish architecture governance and processes to guide technology decisions.
- Translate long-term business strategies into scalable, secure, and efficient technology solutions.
- Lead key technology initiatives and mentor architecture and engineering teams.
- Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders across the business.

Key Selection Criteria
Enterprise Architecture Leadership
- Develop and maintain enterprise-wide architecture strategies and roadmaps.
- Ensure alignment between business goals, technology strategies, and transformation activities.
- Act as Design Authority across programmes, influencing architectural decisions.
Strategic Planning
- Lead the creation and review of technology strategies that support business outcomes.
- Embed strategic management into operational practices across the organisation.
Consultancy & Stakeholder Engagement
- Provide expert advice and guidance to senior stakeholders and technical teams.
- Chair governance boards and influence design decisions across programmes.
Domain Expertise (Business / Applications / Data, Integration & AI)
- Business: Focus on enterprise resource planning, human capital management, and operational efficiency.
- Applications: Lead application architecture, integration, and lifecycle management.
- Data, Integration & AI: Drive data strategy, integration frameworks, and AI adoption.
Training & Qualification Requirements
- Proven experience in enterprise architecture within complex, regulated environments.
- Strong leadership and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Deep understanding of systems integration, cloud platforms, data architecture, and digital transformation.
- TOGAF, BCS certifications or equivalent experience are beneficial.
Our Application Process
Due to the safety regulations within the nuclear industry, applicants will be required to participate in additional screening. These are:
Obtaining Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) clearance
Satisfactory completion of a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check
Satisfactory completion of a basic financial probity check

Each Rolls-Royce SMR power station will have the capacity to generate 470MW of low carbon energy, equivalent to more than 150 onshore wind turbines and enough to power a million homes. It will provide consistent baseload generation for at least 60 years, helping to support the roll out of renewable generation and overcome intermittency issues
