This is more than just a job; this is a legacy. Rolls-Royce SMR is a bold and ambitious company with a highly skilled workforce that operates at pace to maintain competitive advantage and to succeed on our vision to deliver affordable energy for all.
We are now recruiting for a Procurement Manager – Supply Chain Risk & Resilience to lead the development and continuous improvement of our risk and resilience strategy across the Procurement & Supply Chain (P&SC) function and external supply base.

Role Purpose
This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of supply chain resilience in a first-of-its-kind engineering programme. You’ll work closely with internal teams and external suppliers to ensure the P&SC function can anticipate, prepare for, respond to, and recover from disruptions—ensuring programme delivery certainty in a safe, secure, and compliant manner.
You’ll be the subject matter expert for risk and resilience, developing tools, systems, and frameworks, and embedding best practices across the function. You’ll also support supplier capability development and lead the integration of resilience into our governance and operating models.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development and implementation of risk and resilience strategies across the P&SC function.
- Ensure all P&SC risks and opportunities are identified, assessed, and managed using appropriate business tools.
- Develop and maintain business continuity, crisis management, and disaster recovery plans for key suppliers.
- Provide intelligence and insights through risk analysis and reporting to support informed decision-making.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to embed resilience into procurement processes and supplier relationships.
- Support the development of internal and supplier capabilities to meet Rolls-Royce SMR’s resilience standards.

What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for someone with a strong background in procurement or supply chain and a passion for risk management and resilience. You’ll bring:
- A relevant degree or equivalent experience.
- Risk and/or resilience qualifications (e.g., MCIPS, IoSCM, BCI) or significant industry experience.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a risk & resilience management role.
- Strong analytical, stakeholder engagement, and communication skills.
- Experience with risk management tools and systems (e.g., Active Risk Manager).
- Familiarity with relevant regulations and compliance requirements.
Desirable:
- Understanding of nuclear regulatory requirements.
- People management experience.

You’ll be joining a forward-thinking organisation that values transparency, fairness, and innovation. We offer:
- A flexible, inclusive, and supportive working environment.
- Opportunities for career growth in a rapidly scaling business.
- A culture that values diversity, innovation, and continuous learning.
Confidence can sometimes hold us back from applying for a job. But we'll let you in on a secret: there's no such thing as a 'perfect' candidate. If you feel you meet 75% of the requirements for this role, we would love to hear from you.
