Role: HS&E Design & Construction Senior Safety Adviser
Location: Hybrid working with one of the following locations as primary: Derby, Warrington, or Manchester

We are now recruiting for the exciting role of HS&E Design & Construction Senior Safety Adviser
An overarching strategic objective of Rolls-Royce SMR is to integrate robust conventional health and safety policies, standards, processes and good practices, within engineering activities and product design definitions.
HS&E Design & Construction Senior Safety adviser will support the development and implementation of the organisations strategic approach, interpretation, and holistic arrangements in relation to Health and Safety in the Design and Construction Phases.
They will facilitate the implementation of relevant programmes with the intent to deliver a safe design solution that reduces conventional safety risks to As Low As Reasonably Practicable (ALARP).
Critically, this requires an individual with strong interpersonal skills, necessary to elicit, understand, prioritise, and deliver complex demands. With the ability to apply strategic thinking about our integrated health and safety approach, and effective application of UK legislation and use of good practices, to assure Rolls-Royce SMR delivers a repeatable and safe plant design
All prospective applicants should note the RR-SMR project is in its design phase with each design package at various stages of maturity. The role will predominantly be supporting design and engineering functions support the design functions through to detailed design and then onto pre-construction and finally throughout the deliver of the Power station. There will be a number of off site visits to various test sites however the predominant work environment will centre around design.

- Pay and benefits
• Salary - £48,000 - £62,500
• A performance related bonus of up to 12.5%,
• An attractive pension scheme with 12% employer and 6% employee contributions.
