Role Title: Senior Manager - Enterprise Risk

We are now recruiting for the exciting role of Senior Manager - Enterprise Risk, to be involved in industry leading, cutting-edge design project for a new type of power station.

Working within the PMO and reporting to the Head of Risk, the Senior Manager - Enterprise Risk will have a broad range of touch points with members across the Executive, Directorates, Programmes, enabling functions and other teams as necessary with particular focus on facilitating, developing and maintaining Principal and Strategic risk registers.  The Senior Manager - Enterprise Risk will work across all aspects of RR SMR and will be instrumental in the embedding, evolution, facilitation and providing SME support in the implementation of the risk management framework as well providing analysis and assurance of risk registers.

Key Results and What Can Be Achieved in the Role

  • Promote adherence to the risk framework, ensure risks which are important to the organisation are identified and appropriately assessed.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of mitigation and support any required remediation.
  • Provide tools, templates, guidance and training to stakeholders.
  • Coordinate the aggregation of risk information to enable risk management oversight responsibilities to be discharged within directorates, at ELT or Board level.
  • Ensure current and future corporate governance requirements are met.
  • Being accountable for risk management performance within the Principal and Strategic risk registers.
  • Supporting the continuous improvement of the risk management framework.
  • Maintaining risk registers through risk reviews, risk workshops and health checking, working collaboratively with work pack leads, teams and their support.
  • Ensuring that mitigations are SMART and are kept under review as to their effective and efficient performance to manage risk to the required levels.
  • Undertaking the risk management SME role and providing “critical” friend challenge delivery of the risk management process.
  • Providing support to the Head of Risk and deputising when necessary.
  • Undertake the role of the Risk Information Management System (RMIS) administrator and RMIS SME.
  • Delivery of risk training for the risk process and use of the Risk Management System.
  • Responsible for the operational reporting of risks internally and externally to key stakeholders.
  • Support the delivery and use of QRA.
  • Identify relevant good and best practice risk management activity to incorporate in the organisations risk management framework.

Pay and benefits

We anticipate paying a salary of between £68,000 - £89,000 DOE plus:- 

  • Bonus - Performance related target opportunity 17%  
  • Benefits Allowance – £5,000 per annum, enabling you to create a bespoke package   
  • Pension - 12% employer and 6% employee contributions. 
  • Holidays - 28 days holiday (+ public holidays) and the ability to buy or sell up to 4 days.   
  • Private Medical Insurance - BUPA single cover health care   
  • Life Assurance - 6x pensionable pay  
  • £250 - One-off payment for new starters for home office purchases
