We are currently seeking to recruit Capability Managers and Subject Matter Experts. 

We welcome applications from both experienced managers with outstanding skills and comprehensive practical experience and knowledgeable specialists to join our team. 

 

Salary depending on the level of experience and the type of role, starting at £70,000-£90,000

Validation & Verification Capability Managers will be reporting to the Chief Development Engineer, function-based capability managers are a crucial part of ensuring project delivery objectives can be met. Responsible for people, processes & tools (for a given discipline) the capability manager will ensure project outcomes can be achieved in a lean and efficient way.   

 

Key Selection Criteria:

 

Verification and Validation expertise

  • Experience of verification and validation of product, ensuring comprehensive compliance with design, business & regulatory requirements.
  • Experience in a safety-critical and highly-regulated industry (experience within the nuclear industry in particular would be desirable but is not essential). 

Communication and Influence

  • Good interpersonal & communication skills, able to bring people together and solve problems as a multi-disciplinary team (e.g. Design & Development).
  • Able to effectively manage uncertainty and change, communicate complex topics clearly and concisely and influence both internal and external stakeholders. 

Development of Capability

  • Experience of developing and continuously improving methods, tools, process and personnel capability.
  • Creation, ownership & delivery of a departmental functional strategy (e.g. Approach to V&V)

Systems Engineering

  • Has a systems-thinking mindset with practical experience of using Systems Engineering toolsets & techniques to deliver positive outcomes.
  • Demonstrates a clear, analytical and methodical approach, able to manage change and uncertainty.

Nuclear Safety Culture

  • The ability to model strong and positive safety behaviours and to instil it in others, including respectfully challenging others and taking the initiative to build a strong safety culture.

•                     Competitive salary

•                     A performance related bonus of up to 12.5%,

•                     An attractive pension scheme with 12% employer and 6% employee contributions.

•                     You will also receive a flexible benefits allowance of £2,200, enabling you to create a       bespoke package to suit your needs.

•                     28 days annual leave (plus bank holiday) with ability to buy additional days.
