We are now recruiting for the exciting role of Procurement Manager - Digital & IT Solutions, to be involved in developing a global supply chain and creating opportunities for the wider industry.
Role Purpose
As a Procurement Manager for Digital and IT Solutions, you will be focused on establishing and leading cross functional engagement that develops and implements sourcing category strategies, ensuring that the proposed solutions and the execution of, meet the needs of current and future business programmes across all areas of IT and digital spend. Key focus will be on achieving cost efficiencies and delivering value whilst supporting the business sustainability goals.
Key responsibilities
- Development of KPIs and SLAs to track and manage supplier performance once in contract
- Ensuring that supplier risk is understood and managed within the contract
- Monitoring adoption and change relating to any sourcing projects being implemented providing guidance and support to maximise the realised benefits
- Maintaining a comprehensive knowledge of the supply markets, supplier capabilities, technology, processes, and geography of the service line
- Communicating any risks and issues in line with business process
- Understanding the key customer drivers that define priorities and opportunities
- Mentoring and development of aligned Procurement team members
What we are looking for
- Strong knowledge of procurement principles and practices, particularly in the IT category
- Experienced negotiator with the ability to demonstrate positive outcomes through high value and complex negotiations
- Ability to achieve the cost savings targets in contracts through robust strategic sourcing of requirements
- Ability to analyse market trends, supplier capabilities, and spending patterns to develop and implement effective procurement strategies
- Working with key stakeholders to develop category strategies, setting a clear roadmap that identifies route to delivery
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with business stakeholders, developing an understanding of the business direction, requirements, and priorities
- Provide support throughout contracting and post-contracting to the internal stakeholders
- Understanding of budgeting, cost control, and financial analysis related to procurement
- Prepare and present financial reports and analyses relating to proposed business cases demonstrating understanding of life cost considerations
Beneficial Training or/and qualifications
- Proven experience in IT procurement, preferably in a fast-paced environment
- Managing budgets over £10m per annum
- Expertise in licencing with hardware, software and IT infrastructure
- Professional certification in procurement MCIPS or equivalent
- Proficiency in procurement software and tooling
